C'est un voyage à la recherche de l'identité palestinienne, une tentative de réunir le plus de vérités possibles, au travers d'un récit éclaté.
Elia Suleiman sert de fil conducteur au film, il vit son propre déchirement entre son propre lieu d'origine et lui-même... Il est, en même temps, récitant : celui qui observe, et médiateur : celui qui raconte et qui se retrouve dans l'histoire.
This is a quest for the Palestinian identity, an attempt to gather as many truths as possible through fragmented narration. Elia Suleiman acts as the main thread in the film: he lives through his own dilemma between his homeland and himself... He is both an observing narrator and a mediator: he tells the story and is part of it.
