Une "ronde" de jeunes gens à Taïpei, aussi complexe et imprévue qu'une partie de mah-jong ou de dominos.
Marthe, dix-huit ans, arrive de Paris pour rendre visite à Marcus, un architecte décorateur britannique qui s'est installé à Taïwan. Ils ont fait récemment connaissance à Londres et sont tombés amoureux l'un de l'autre. Marcus n'a toutefois pas fait la moindre allusion à Alison... Pour Ginger, l'Américaine, cette jeune Parisienne ferait bien l'affaire comme hôtesse dans son établissement...
Winston Chen est en faillite et il se cache car ses créanciers sont à ses trousses... Red Fish, son fils, est le chef d'une bande dont les membres n'ont rien d'autre en tête que l'argent et les filles ; il se demande bien comment il pourrait tirer partie de la mésaventure de Marthe... Alison, abandonnée par Marcus, couche avec Hong Kong, ce qui est étonnant. Hong Kong fait partie de la bande de Red Fish ; il n'aurait rien contre si elle couchait aussi avec ses copains...

The two met and fell in love in London recently. But Marcus didn't say a word to Marthe about Alison...

Red Fish, his son and leader of a gang who think of nothing but girls and how to make a fast buck, is already plotting how to make the most of Marthe's misfortune...Alison, whom Marcus has now left, goes to bed with Hong Kong of all people. Hong Kong is a member of Red Fish's gang and thinks it's normal to expect Alison to sleep with his buddies...
